After nearly a decade in journalism, Parker joined a web media startup in 1995 working in the online newsroom of a flagship Twin Cities radio and television station writing, optimizing and growing the online audience. The company eventually operated websites for more than 70 TV stations for media companies including NBC, Hearst, Cox, McGraw Hill, Meredith and Post-Newsweek, reaching nearly 16 million people daily.
